Los canales de noticias publican constantemente lo que es tendencia en el mundo cient\u00edfico y promueven algunos de los descubrimientos m\u00e1s relevantes para el p\u00fablico no especializado.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, no pocas veces escuchamos noticias contradictorias que ponen en duda la veracidad de la ciencia. No s\u00f3lo, algunos hallazgos son tan dif\u00edciles de creer que empezamos a asociar la informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica a los rumores populares.<\/p>\n<p>En su programa de esta semana, John Oliver se\u00f1al\u00f3 las consecuencias de la informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica falsa o incompleta y c\u00f3mo los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n tienen un papel importante en ello:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Estudios cient\u00edficos: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0Rnq1NpHdmw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>El discurso de John Oliver estaba bien alineado con el sentido general. Hoy en d\u00eda, la mayor\u00eda de la gente duda de la informaci\u00f3n en la que puede creer y de la fiabilidad de la ciencia. Aunque la cr\u00edtica iba dirigida sobre todo a los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y a las personas que alimentan el mercado del \"chismorreo cient\u00edfico\", la comunicaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica es un problema real.<\/p>\n<p>Sin duda, los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n pueden desempe\u00f1ar un papel importante en la difusi\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica. Sin embargo, no son los profesionales m\u00e1s capacitados para hacerlo. \u00bfQui\u00e9nes son los profesionales m\u00e1s preparados para comunicar informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica? Pues los cient\u00edficos.<\/p>\n<p>El problema es que la comunidad cient\u00edfica es muy cerrada dentro de su propio p\u00fablico, lo que puede sonar un poco raro si tenemos en cuenta que el objetivo principal de la ciencia es impactar positivamente en la humanidad. Los cient\u00edficos tienen el papel m\u00e1s importante en la comunicaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica. Como los medios sociales son responsables de una gran parte del intercambio de informaci\u00f3n, los cient\u00edficos podr\u00edan utilizar estas herramientas r\u00e1pidas y eficaces para difundir informaci\u00f3n veraz sobre el trabajo cient\u00edfico.<\/p>\n<p>Muchos cient\u00edficos ya han encontrado la manera de hacerlo.
