Este es el principio de la \"ingenier\u00eda de tejidos humanos\".<\/p>\n<p>En el estudio, los autores no s\u00f3lo utilizaron las c\u00e9lulas iPS, sino que generaron <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technologyreview.com\/s\/535006\/brain-organoids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">organoides cerebrales<\/a>Tambi\u00e9n se conoce como \"minicerebros\" para entender c\u00f3mo la presencia del virus del Zika afecta a la formaci\u00f3n de este tejido neuronal.<\/p>\n<p>Los cultivos celulares de este tipo se consideran estructuras tridimensionales (3D) y proporcionan m\u00e1s pistas sobre la arquitectura del \u00f3rgano. Este es el a\u00f1o del organoide seg\u00fan el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theworldin.com\/article\/10640\/year-organoid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Economista<\/a>. Se trata de un asunto de salud p\u00fablica mundial, como ya ha dicho el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.who.int\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud<\/a>\u00a0(OMS).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Saber qu\u00e9 es el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wpro.who.int\/mediacentre\/factsheets\/fs_05182015_zika\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La OMS aconseja sobre el virus del Zika<\/a>\u00a0transmisi\u00f3n e infecci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"section_head1\">Transmisi\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>El virus del Zika se transmite principalmente a los humanos a trav\u00e9s de las picaduras de <i>Aedes<\/i> los mosquitos, que suelen vivir alrededor de los edificios en las zonas urbanas y suelen estar activos durante las horas de luz (el pico de actividad de picadura se produce a primera hora de la ma\u00f1ana y a \u00faltima de la tarde).<\/p>\n<p>Algunas pruebas sugieren que el virus del Zika tambi\u00e9n puede transmitirse a los humanos a trav\u00e9s de transfusiones de sangre, transmisi\u00f3n perinatal y transmisi\u00f3n sexual. Sin embargo, estos modos son muy raros.<\/p>\n<p>El periodo de incubaci\u00f3n suele ser de 2 a 7 d\u00edas.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"section_head1\">Signos y s\u00edntomas<\/h3>\n<p>La infecci\u00f3n por el virus del Zika se caracteriza por una fiebre de bajo grado (inferior a 38,5 \u00b0C) acompa\u00f1ada frecuentemente de una erupci\u00f3n maculopapular. Otros s\u00edntomas comunes son dolor muscular, dolor articular con posible hinchaz\u00f3n (sobre todo de las peque\u00f1as articulaciones de las manos y los pies), dolor de cabeza, dolor detr\u00e1s de los ojos y conjuntivitis. Como los s\u00edntomas suelen ser leves, la infecci\u00f3n puede pasar desapercibida o ser diagnosticada err\u00f3neamente como dengue.<\/p>\n<p>Se espera una alta tasa de infecci\u00f3n asintom\u00e1tica por el virus del Zika, similar a la de otros flavivirus, como el virus del dengue y el del Nilo Occidental. La mayor\u00eda de las personas se recuperan completamente sin complicaciones graves, y las tasas de hospitalizaci\u00f3n son bajas.
