Algunos dicen que dos metros (2m) es la distancia a la que debemos alejar a los dem\u00e1s como medida preventiva.<\/p>\n<p>La imagen de abajo fue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/03\/11\/science\/coronavirus-curve-mitigation-infection.html\">publicado en el New York Times, adaptando datos del Centro de Control de Enfermedades (CDC)<\/a> de los Estados Unidos. Dicho de forma sencilla, muestra c\u00f3mo las medidas de protecci\u00f3n, como el aislamiento social y el uso de mascarillas, pueden \"aplanar\" la curva y, por tanto, inhibir te\u00f3ricamente el \"pico\" en el n\u00famero de casos.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"812\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/image-203-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11026\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/image-203-2.png 812w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/image-203-2-300x128.png 300w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/image-203-2-768x327.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 812px) 100vw, 812px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>A pesar de que el n\u00famero total de casos es exactamente el mismo, el aplanamiento de la curva significa que el sistema sanitario no se ver\u00e1 sobrecargado y la posibilidad de curar a los infectados dando el apoyo adecuado en una unidad de cuidados cr\u00edticos es mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No importa lo preparado que est\u00e9 un pa\u00eds en t\u00e9rminos de n\u00famero de camas, nadie est\u00e1 preparado para una epidemia como \u00e9sta. B\u00e1sicamente, nunca ocurri\u00f3. Y lo peor en el caso del coronavirus Covid-19 es que <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2020\/03\/14\/health\/coronavirus-asymptomatic-spread\/index.html\">incluso las personas sin s\u00edntomas pueden transmitirlo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Documento del C.D.C. titulado \"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/66\/rr\/rr6601a1.htm#_blank\">Directrices de mitigaci\u00f3n comunitaria para prevenir la pandemia de gripe<\/a>El Dr. Harris ha denominado dos curvas de epi. En el futuro, estas mismas 2,5 personas habr\u00e1n afectado a un total de 406 personas. Eso es una progresi\u00f3n exponencial. Es enorme. Si reducimos la tasa de transmisi\u00f3n a la mitad, significa que s\u00f3lo hay 15 personas afectadas despu\u00e9s de 30 d\u00edas.
