Bis heute wurden etwa 56 000 Pflanzenarten (beschrieben), 1 700 Vogelarten, 695 Amphibienarten, 578 S\u00e4ugetierarten und 651 Reptilienarten nachgewiesen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regenw\u00e4lder bedecken mit 477 698 000 Hektar fast 60% der gesamten Fl\u00e4che Brasiliens. Das entspricht 1 844 394 Quadratmeilen oder knapp 3 Millionen Quadratkilometern. Das bedeutet, dass Brasilien ein Drittel der weltweiten Regenw\u00e4lder beherbergt, was es zu einem der faszinierendsten und sch\u00f6nsten L\u00e4nder der Erde macht. Die dichten Regenw\u00e4lder Brasiliens verbrauchen eine enorme Menge des weltweiten Kohlendioxids und geben im Gegenzug Sauerstoff ab.
