Beginnen wir mit einer kleinen Einf\u00fchrung in Rafaels Studiengebiet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Das Immunsystem st\u00fctzt sich auf Mechanismen, die das Eigene vom Fremden unterscheiden und stets auf die Gesundheit des Einzelnen abzielen. Rafaels Forschung zeigt, was passiert, wenn dieser Mechanismus versagt. Insbesondere die Rolle einer Familie von Peptiden, den Kininen, die an einer Vielzahl von Prozessen und Krankheiten beteiligt sind (z. B. Alzheimer, Krebs, Epilepsie usw.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rafael nutzte die grafischen Zusammenfassungen, die er auf der Mind the Graph erstellt hatte, um die Hauptpunkte seiner Forschung zu erg\u00e4nzen und zu illustrieren. Das ver\u00f6ffentlichte Papier enth\u00e4lt nicht nur eine, sondern vier grafische Zusammenfassungen!
