Dezember 2019 wurde die Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) \u00fcber das Auftreten schwerer Lungenentz\u00fcndungen unbekannter \u00c4tiologie in der Stadt Wuhan (Provinz Hubei), China, informiert. Diese Tatsache l\u00f6ste in der internationalen medizinisch-wissenschaftlichen Gemeinschaft sofort Besorgnis aus. In China haben die Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rden Sofortma\u00dfnahmen zur Eind\u00e4mmung der Epidemie ergriffen und epidemiologische, mikrobiologische und klinische Untersuchungen eingeleitet, um die neue Krankheit rasch zu charakterisieren und unter Kontrolle zu bringen. Am 7. Januar 2020 gaben chinesische Wissenschaftler die Isolierung eines neuen Coronavirus aus einem Patienten in Wuhan bekannt, das zun\u00e4chst als 2019-nCoV bezeichnet wurde. In der Folge entwickelten sie eine molekularbiologische Methode zur schnellen Best\u00e4tigung der Diagnose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\" class=\"\">Die epidemiologische Untersuchung der ersten F\u00e4lle wies auf den Besuch eines Gro\u00dfmarkts f\u00fcr Meeresfr\u00fcchte und Wildtiere in Wuhan als Verbindung hin, was darauf hindeutet, dass das neue Coronavirus urspr\u00fcnglich von einer tierischen Quelle auf den Menschen \u00fcbertragen worden sein k\u00f6nnte. Die \u00dcbertragung von Mensch zu Mensch wurde schnell nachgewiesen und ist f\u00fcr die weitere Ausbreitung der Krankheit verantwortlich.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\" class=\"\">Die Krankheit, die durch das neue Coronavirus verursacht wird, wurde von der WHO offiziell als <i>Coronavirus-Krankheit 19<\/i>&nbsp;(kurz: COVID-19), und parallel dazu wurde das Virus in SARS-CoV-2 umbenannt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>\u00c4tiologischer Erreger von COVID-19<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\" class=\"\">Der Erreger von COVID-19 ist ein neues Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2. Viren des&nbsp;<i>Coronaviridae<\/i>&nbsp;Familie k\u00f6nnen Infektionen bei Wirbeltieren verursachen. Beim Menschen verursachen Coronaviren Atemwegsinfektionen unterschiedlichen Schweregrades. Sie geh\u00f6ren zu den h\u00e4ufigsten Erregern von Erk\u00e4ltungskrankheiten (HCoV-229E, HCoV-NL63, HCoV-OC43 und HCoV-NKUI) und sind auch anerkannte Erreger schwerer Lungenentz\u00fcndungen wie des akuten respiratorischen Syndroms (SARS, f\u00fcr&nbsp;<i>Schweres Akutes Respiratorisches Syndrom<\/i>die im Jahr 2002 beschrieben wurde, und das Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS, f\u00fcr&nbsp;<i>Middle East Respiratory Syndrom<\/i>, beschrieben im Jahr 2012), die durch SARS-CoV bzw. MERS-CoV verursacht werden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" class=\"western\"><span class=\"\" lang=\"en-US\">Flederm\u00e4use scheinen die prim\u00e4re Quelle (das Reservoir) f\u00fcr mehrere Varianten des Coronavirus zu sein und sind es wahrscheinlich auch f\u00fcr SARS-CoV-2, wie die laufenden phylogenetischen Studien mit dem Genom des neuen Coronavirus nahelegen.
