Vi s\u00e5 for f\u00f8rste gang et fotografi af et sort hul. Forskerne annoncerede nyheden under en live-streaming begivenhed. Event Horizon Telescope (EHT-projektet), European Southern Observatory og National Science Foundation (NSF) organiserede begivenheden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Forskerne har forbundet radioteleskoper over hele verden. Algoritmen, der blev skabt af Dr. Katie Bouman og andre forskere, samlede data fra radioteleskoper spredt over hele kloden i regi af et internationalt samarbejde kaldet Event Horizon Telescope.  Projektet studerede to supermassive sorte huller, Sagittarius A (Via Lactea) og centrum af M87-galaksen. Magasinet Astrophysical Journal Letters offentliggjorde billedet i en specialudgave. Tilstedev\u00e6relsen af disse objekter p\u00e5virker deres omgivelser p\u00e5 ekstreme m\u00e5der, forvr\u00e6nger rumtiden og overopheder alt omgivende materiale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\"Hvis det er neds\u00e6nket i et lyst omr\u00e5de, som en skive af gl\u00f8dende gas, forventer vi, at et sort hul vil skabe et m\u00f8rkt omr\u00e5de, der ligner en skygge - noget, der forudsiges af Einsteins generelle relativitetsteori, som vi aldrig har set f\u00f8r,<\/em>&nbsp;forklarede formand for EHT's videnskabelige r\u00e5d&nbsp;<b>Heino Falcke<\/b>&nbsp;fra Radboud University, Holland.&nbsp;<em>\"Denne skygge, for\u00e5rsaget af tyngdekraftens b\u00f8jning og indfangning af lys ved begivenhedshorisonten, afsl\u00f8rer meget om disse fascinerende objekters natur og gjorde det muligt for os at m\u00e5le den enorme masse af M87's sorte hul.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Flere kalibrerings- og billeddannelsesmetoder har afsl\u00f8ret en ringlignende struktur med et m\u00f8rkt centralt omr\u00e5de - det sorte huls skygge - som vedblev over flere uafh\u00e6ngige EHT-observationer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Det sorte hul er 40 milliarder kilometer i diameter. Det er 3 millioner gange s\u00e5 stort som vores planet - og beskrives af forskere som et \"monster\". Det har en masse, der er 6,5 milliarder gange st\u00f8rre end solens. Og vi ansl\u00e5r det til at v\u00e6re et af de st\u00f8rste, der nogensinde har eksisteret.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nogle sorte huller var inaktive, men ikke dette. Og det betyder, at det omdanner gas og stof i n\u00e6rheden til energi med 100 gange st\u00f8rre effektivitet end den kernefusion, der driver stjernerne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Et sort hul har forskellige dele og strukturer.
