Artiklen antyder, at der kan v\u00e6re flydende vand under et lag af is p\u00e5 Mars' sydpol.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\"Vand anses for at v\u00e6re en af de grundl\u00e6ggende foruds\u00e6tninger for liv. Dette er den f\u00f8rste stabile m\u00e6ngde flydende vand, der nogensinde er fundet p\u00e5 Mars, og det kunne betragtes som et potentielt levested,\" forklarer Roberto Orosei, en ledende forsker ved Institute of Radioastronomy i Italien, som analyserede dataene.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Denne opdagelse er is\u00e6r fantastisk, fordi der findes underjordiske s\u00f8er som denne n\u00e6r Jordens poler, hovedsageligt i Gr\u00f8nland og Antarktis. En af disse s\u00f8er, den subglaciale Lake Whillans i Antarktis, har ikke v\u00e6ret p\u00e5 jordens overflade i millioner af \u00e5r. Disse mikroorganismer er relateret til gamle arter, der engang levede i vandige milj\u00f8er.
