N\u00e5r det kommer til visuel information, er der et d\u00f8dvande: Nogle mennesker har sv\u00e6rt ved at fortolke data i et mere visuelt format, mens andre mener, at det er den nemmeste m\u00e5de at forst\u00e5 information p\u00e5.<\/span><\/p>\n

Okay, m\u00e5ske er problemet her, at begrebet visuel information leder tankerne hen p\u00e5 noget kompliceret. Sort-hvide grafer, tabeller og skemaer, der er d\u00e5rligt opbygget og g\u00f8r l\u00e6seren endnu mere forvirret.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hvis det er tilf\u00e6ldet, s\u00e5 lad mig fort\u00e6lle dig noget: Visuel information skal hj\u00e6lpe dig med at forst\u00e5, ikke g\u00f8re dig forvirret. Forfatteren til denne form for visuel information havde sandsynligvis ingen id\u00e9 om, hvad han eller hun lavede.<\/span><\/p>\n

Desv\u00e6rre er den videnskabelige verden fuld af d\u00e5rlige tal og grafer. Men hvordan kan vi som videnskabsm\u00e6nd<\/span>ts, kan hj\u00e6lpe med at g\u00f8re videnskabskommunikation mere visuel? Og ikke kun visuel, men ogs\u00e5 funktionel?<\/span><\/p>\n

Her er to kunstnere, der kan hj\u00e6lpe os med at blive inspireret til at starte. Begge har en sjov tilgang og viser os, at visuel information kan v\u00e6re noget meget enkelt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mona Chalabi er datajournalist og foredragsholder. Hun er dataredakt\u00f8r p\u00e5 The Guardian US og klummeskribent p\u00e5 New York Magazine, hvor hun skriver en fast klumme med titlen \"Dear Mona\". I 2016 blev Monas datategninger h\u00e6dret af Royal Statistical Society.
