Vi m\u00e5ler succes inden for videnskab efter antallet af artikler, vi har udgivet. Dermed starter kapl\u00f8bet om at f\u00e5 vores forskning f\u00e6rdig.<\/p>\n<p>Vi kan godt se, hvorfor det er s\u00e5 vigtigt at f\u00e5 sin forskning publiceret. For at n\u00e5 dertil er det en lang vej at lave eksperimenter og indsamle data - for ikke at tale om at g\u00e5 gennem revisorer og tidsskriftsredakt\u00f8rer. F\u00f8rst bet\u00f8d en udgivet artikel:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Et godt sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5l<\/li>\n<li>Veltilrettelagte eksperimenter<\/li>\n<li>Relevante data for sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5let<\/li>\n<li>Analyse og diskussion, der tilf\u00f8jede nye synsvinkler p\u00e5 studieemnet<\/li>\n<li>Et bidrag til videnskaben og den verden, vi lever i<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Man beh\u00f8ver ikke at v\u00e6re et geni for at indse, at det ikke altid er det, der sker.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/opinion\/prof-no-one-is-reading-you\">If\u00f8lge en unders\u00f8gelse<\/a>udgivne artikler bliver i gennemsnit l\u00e6st af 10 personer. Og det er ikke alt. 82% af publicerede artikler bliver ikke engang citeret \u00e9n gang - af dem, der bliver citeret, er kun 20% blevet l\u00e6st.<\/p>\n<p>Kan du forestille dig at g\u00f8re dig alt det besv\u00e6r med at udgive en artikel og s\u00e5 ikke f\u00e5 den l\u00e6st af andre end forfatterne, fagf\u00e6llebed\u00f8mmerne og tidsskriftets redakt\u00f8rer?<br \/>\nDet er de fleste avisers sk\u00e6bne.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e5 hvorfor m\u00e5ler vi succes i videnskaben ud fra antallet af artikler, vi udgiver?<\/p>\n<p>Kan du forestille dig, hvis vi m\u00e5lte vores succes p\u00e5 en anden m\u00e5de? For eksempel ville vi have brug for en meget lettere m\u00e5de at forklare vores studier p\u00e5. Forskere ville v\u00e6re interesserede i - ikke kun at offentligg\u00f8re deres resultater - men ogs\u00e5 at sikre, at de er lette at forst\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p>Hvis vi ser p\u00e5, hvordan tidsskrifterne kommunikerer, kan vi se, at nogle af dem allerede er ved at \u00e6ndre deres udgivelsesinstruktioner. I dag finder vi tidsskrifter, der beder om bedre figurer\/plots og endda grafiske abstracts.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e5ske er det p\u00e5 tide at t\u00e6nke lidt anderledes over, hvorfor og til hvem vi publicerer vores resultater.
