Tyrkiet ligger p\u00e5 gr\u00e6nsen mellem de afrikanske og eurasiske tektoniske plader, mens Syrien ligger p\u00e5 gr\u00e6nsen mellem de afrikanske og arabiske tektoniske plader.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Derfor blev de udsat for et forf\u00e6rdeligt jordsk\u00e6lv den 6. februar 2023, som dr\u00e6bte over 11.000 mennesker og s\u00e5rede titusindvis af andre.
