Den kemiske sammens\u00e6tning er i h\u00f8j grad ansvarlig for planters biologiske aktiviteter. For at kunne bestemme planters bioaktivitet skal fytokomponenter p\u00e5vises og identificeres. Dette studie unders\u00f8gte planternes samlede indhold af phenoler (TPC) og flavonoider (TFC). TPC og TFC er h\u00f8jest i ethylacetat af alle fraktionerede ekstrakter. Flavonoider og flavonoler dominerede analysen af ekstraktet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der er en sammenh\u00e6ng mellem TPC, TFC, og at A. virginicus har antioxidantegenskaber. Ethylacetatekstraktionen og den totale r\u00e5ekstrakt af A. virginicus har anti-tyrosinase-evner ud over deres antioxidante egenskaber. Flavonoider kan v\u00e6re en vigtig bidragyder til denne evne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plantekemikalier binder sig til frie radikaler og beskytter cellerne mod skader, n\u00e5r disse kemikalier p\u00e5f\u00f8res et spektrum af cellelinjer. Dette h\u00e6mmer et protein kaldet tyrosinase p\u00e5 hudniveau for at forhindre alderspletter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ud over potentielt at bidrage til en sundere krop beskytter denne binding mod de afledte konsekvenser af cellul\u00e6r handling, som kan f\u00f8re til type 2-diabetes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Derudover gav forskerne disse afledte kemikalier til cellelinjer med kronisk myelogen leuk\u00e6mi, en sj\u00e6lden tilstand, der p\u00e5virker blodet.
