Den 7. januar 2020 meddelte kinesiske forskere, at de havde isoleret et nyt coronavirus fra en patient i Wuhan, som i f\u00f8rste omgang blev kaldt 2019-nCoV. Efterf\u00f8lgende udviklede de en molekyl\u00e6rbiologisk metode til hurtig bekr\u00e6ftelse af diagnosen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\" class=\"\">Den epidemiologiske unders\u00f8gelse af de f\u00f8rste tilf\u00e6lde pegede p\u00e5 bes\u00f8get p\u00e5 et engrosmarked for fisk og skaldyr og vilde dyr i Wuhan som et link, hvilket tyder p\u00e5, at det nye coronavirus oprindeligt kunne v\u00e6re blevet overf\u00f8rt til mennesker fra en animalsk kilde.
