Zpo\u010d\u00e1tku se k\u00f3dov\u00e1n\u00ed t\u00fdkalo p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b n\u00e1vrhu n\u00edzko\u00farov\u0148ov\u00fdch programovac\u00edch jazyk\u016f a algoritm\u016f pro \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed matematick\u00fdch probl\u00e9m\u016f. V tomto obdob\u00ed byly vytvo\u0159eny programovac\u00ed jazyky jako Fortran a COBOL, kter\u00e9 polo\u017eily z\u00e1klad pro dal\u0161\u00ed pokrok v oblasti k\u00f3dov\u00e1n\u00ed ve v\u00fdzkumu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zlom nastal v 60. a 70. letech 20. stolet\u00ed, kdy si v\u011bdci uv\u011bdomili, jak efektivn\u00ed m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt k\u00f3dov\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159i spr\u00e1v\u011b obrovsk\u00e9ho mno\u017estv\u00ed dat.
