D\u00edky t\u011bmto d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fdm objev\u016fm za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 v\u011bda postupovat kup\u0159edu a hled\u00e1 nov\u00e9 odpov\u011bdi na star\u00e9 probl\u00e9my.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jedn\u00edm z t\u011bchto prob\u00edhaj\u00edc\u00edch v\u011bdeck\u00fdch pokrok\u016f je design molekul. V tomto \u010dl\u00e1nku se jednoduch\u00fdm a dynamick\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem dozv\u00edte v\u00edce o n\u00e1vrhu molekul a jeho hlavn\u00edch \u00fa\u010delech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Co je to molekula?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Molekula je skupina dvou nebo v\u00edce atom\u016f, kter\u00e9 dohromady tvo\u0159\u00ed nejmen\u0161\u00ed rozpoznatelnou jednotku, na kterou lze rozd\u011blit \u010dist\u00fd materi\u00e1l p\u0159i zachov\u00e1n\u00ed jeho obsahu a chemick\u00fdch vlastnost\u00ed. Molekuly se ozna\u010duj\u00ed symbolem prvku a indexem ud\u00e1vaj\u00edc\u00edm po\u010det atom\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diatomick\u00e9 molekuly vznikaj\u00ed, kdy\u017e se spoj\u00ed pouze dva atomy. Oxid uhelnat\u00fd (CO) je dvouatomov\u00e1 molekula slo\u017een\u00e1 z jednoho atomu uhl\u00edku a jednoho atomu kysl\u00edku. Homojadern\u00e1 diatomick\u00e1 molekula vznik\u00e1, kdy\u017e se spoj\u00ed dva atomy naprosto stejn\u00e9ho prvku, nap\u0159\u00edklad kysl\u00edku (O2) a dus\u00edku (N) (N2). V\u00edceatomov\u00e9 molekuly, jako je voda (H2O) a oxid uhli\u010dit\u00fd, obsahuj\u00ed v\u00edce ne\u017e dva atomy (CO2).
